Sad news has reached the club that Glenn Coupland has passed away at the age of 72.

Glenn signed for the Angels in 1983 and played under John Keirs in the 1983/84 and 1984/85 seasons. He later returned for the 1988/89 and 1989/90 seasons at the end of a long career in which he played against us in the 1970s and 1980s for Ramsgate, Dover, Maidstone United and Dartford, for whom he was to eventually become player-manager.

Glenn made 138 appearances as a central defender for the Angels scoring once, in a Boxing Day derby against Tunbridge Wells in 1989.
