After a very successful first season as a squad, Tonbridge Angels Junior U12 team celebrated yesterday after winning the Maidstone Youth League U12’s Challenge Cup. A great team performance had them lifting the Cup after a 11-1 win over MPE U12.

There were some fantastic performances, including a hat-trick from Jamie Rodgers, two goals for Xavi Rampat and one from Billy Regan.  However, the stand out player of the game, scoring 5 goals, was Toby Wheeler. Toby was rightly named Man of the Match, and at times left the spectators speechless with some incredible skill.

Winning the Challenge Cup was the perfect end to the season, where they finished runners up in the Express Cabs Maidstone Youth U12 league. Next season they will be competing in the U13 Kent Youth League, and hope to continue their impressive form.
