Events Manager – Tonbridge Angels Football Club

Reports to:                                         General Manager

Hours:                                                17 hours p/w to be worked flexibly as required by the role

Salary:                                                          Circa £11,000 per annum

Purpose of the role

To manage and oversee the development, co-ordination and delivery of events at Tonbridge Angels Football Club. Maximising the usage of the Tonbridge Angels marquee venue and other event spaces to meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Set and achieve revenue and profit targets with the General Manager and Commercial Director.
  • Oversee the end-to-end events process, including conception, planning, staffing and delivery of the entire events programme
  • Develop relationships with existing clients and be proactive in identifying new business opportunities
  • Lead on all events marketing, including maintaining relationships with local media outlets
  • Respond to all incoming queries and questions (by email, telephone, post or face-to-face) in relation to events in a timely and professional manner and provide quotations and invoices.
  • Produce a project plan for each event including fully costed budget, resource requirements and projected profit.
  • Create an events calendar and maintain and update the Marquee website and social media to promote Tonbridge Angels as a functions venue and advertise upcoming events. 
  • Ensure smooth operations of all events event coordination aspects of the role by working closely with the Hospitality Manager.
  • Provide regular sales reports on monthly revenue and forecast revenue targets by tracking all accounting information for non-match day events.
  • Inspire and motivate the events team, leading by example and promoting a positive experience for clients and customers.

 Person Specification

  • Experience of planning and delivering a wide range of events.
  • A high level of attention to detail and administrative skills
  • Knowledge of different marketing avenues
  • A passion for delivering creative, high-impact events and providing excellent customer service


Food & Beverage Manager – Tonbridge Angels Football Club

Reports to:                                         General Manager

Managerial Accountability:              Hospitality Staff including bar and catering

Hours:                                                17 hours p/w to be worked flexibly as required by the role

Salary                                                 Circa £11k per annum

Purpose of the role:

Responsible for running all Tonbridge Angels’ bars, food outlets and matchday hospitality functions.

Job Overview

The Food and Beverage Manager will:

  1. Work to commercial targets to generate hospitality and catering revenue.
  2. Manage and oversee the development, co-ordination and delivery of all hospitality and catering for matchdays and commercial events.
  3. Be responsible for all match day bars, food outlets and hospitality areas.
  4. Work with food and beverage suppliers, ordering and monitoring stock.
  5. Lead the hospitality and catering team ensuring an exceptional standard of service .

 Responsibilities and Duties

  • Create an environment which contributes positively to the Club’s matchday experience with the aim of creating an engaging, exciting and memorable experience for all of our supporters, staff and visitors.
  • Ensure strict awareness and compliance with all Health & Safety work practices including good practice for standards of hygiene ensuring the highest standards of safety and hygiene for both yourself and your team. 
  • Oversee the recruitment of matchday bar and hospitality staff.
  • Ensure that all catering units and bars are adequately stocked and prepared in advance of matchdays
  • Coordinate the provision of food and drinks for all visiting players, officials and referees
  • Line manage the Bar team leader, providing supervision and direction around their work
  • Maintain hospitality and events team staff records including time sheets
  • Responsible for any disciplinary issues that occur, and report any concerns that are relevant to be actioned
  • Inspire and motivate the hospitality and events team, leading by example and promoting a positive working environment
