Jay heading to Folkestone

Jay accepts role at Folkestone Invicta

Jay Saunders has accepted the position as manager of Folkestone Invicta from next season.

He will continue in his present role as manager of Tonbridge Angels until the end of this season.

Jay has spent three years at the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium in which time he has established the club as a competitive National League South side.

In his first season the Angels finished a very creditable ninth place, four points off the play-offs, after accumulating 70 points. The following season ended with a 14th place finish and this season there is every possibility of a top 10 spot, coupled with an FA Cup First Round appearance, albeit a disappointing home defeat to Harborough Town.

Sophie Purves, her board and everybody connected with Tonbridge Angels thank Jay for his dedication to our club over the past three years and wish him every success at Folkestone Invicta.
