Angels fall to defeat again
Angels boss, Steve McKimm is predicting changes to his squad in the coming days as his side slumped to yet another league defeat with a below par performance against Leatherhead.
The Tanners cruised to their fourth successive league victory in competent style against a Tonbridge side that have now lost their last three league games.
Leatherhead opened their account on 16 minutes when following a foul by Angels keeper Jonathan Henly on Travis Gregory inside the area the resultant penalty was converted by Jeremiah Amoo.
Tonbridge territorially had more of the play with chances falling to Alex Read and Tom Beere but it was the Tanners who were to go further ahead. On 44 minutes D’Sean Theobalds grabbed possession just inside the final third, cut inside and beat Henly with an accurate shot into the left hand corner.
With the two-goal cushion Leatherhead largely controlled the second half with a sound defensive display but still showing plenty of attacking threat. Just two minutes into the half Dan Gallagher saw his effort just clear the bar and on 65 minutes Travis Gregory was unlucky with his effort.
The home side tried hard to get back in the game but they were basically restricted to half chances and Leatherhead always looked favourite to go on and claim all the points.
