Under-14s edged out in KYL debut
The team could not have asked for a much harder start to their KYL adventure as they took on Bromley FC - last seasons Kent County Cup Finalists.
The team started nervously and soon found themselves three goals down after only 15 minutes. In a strange way third goal seemed to galvanise boys and remove any nerves. They started to press the ball and kept their share brilliantly. A goal just before half time by Hayden Velvick gave the boys renewed optimism.
A combination of the woodwork and some outstanding defending kept the team in the game and a second goal, 15 minutes from time, from Harrison Cogan made it a nervy ending for the opposition who held on to the end. A very positive start and great team performance.
