A hard fought draw was achieved at Summers Lane with Joe Turner stepping up to convert a penalty for the Angels in the 75th minute to level the scores at 1-1 and that’s how it ended.  We thank everyone at Wingate & Finchley including officials for hosting the game and for their hospitality. 

It means that through the pre-season programme Angels were unbeaten in seven friendlies, with five wins and two draws.  Of course we all know that in one sense these results count for little but hopefully it has allowed Jay Saunders to properly assess his options before the big kick off on 6th August away to Weymouth.
