It may have been clear blue skies over Longmead, but Soares and Santos produced two 2nd half thunderbolts that earned Angels a point against an Oxford City side that even when  under pressure always seemed capable of picking a pass.

It was 10th versus 11th so every incentive for both sides to take maximum points and in the opening 25 minutes it was the home side that took the initiative and looked like they wanted it more than their visitors.  Chances came for Soares and twice for Collins, but it was the Hoops who opened the scoring through their first meaningful attack.  On 25 minutes Josh Ashby picked up a loose ball on the right hand side of the home goal area and fired past Jonny Henly.

It was to get even better for Oxford City on the stroke of half time when from a set piece Josh Parker doubled the Hoops advantage.

Angels were to turn the tables in an exciting second half with two fantastic strikes.  On 52 minutes a fine pass from Turner set up Soares who fired a 30 yarder into the Oxford goal and then 14 minutes later Santos repeated the earlier effort of  his team mate by producing another 30 yarder giving Dudenski no chance.

Both sides tried to get the winner but the game became somewhat disjointed due to various injuries on both sides.  The referee had to play 14 minutes of stoppage time and its probably fair to say that given the reorganisation the two sides had to make, both were happy enough to walk away with a point each.
