Jay's Friday Briefing
Tonbridge Angels will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to eight games against bottom side Havant and Waterlooville on Saturday.
However manager Jay Saunders says there's a stark reminder not to take the bottom side lightly:
Jay said: "It puts added pressure on us playing against a team bottom of the table, the fans are going to expect three points, but I made the boys aware this time last year we played Weymouth who were bottom of the league and lost 5-nil so we can't have a repeat of that. We've done our homework and hopefully we can get the points and get to a good position in the league.
"Most people will tell you they're surprised they are where they are. You don't know what goes on, but with the squad Havant have got, sooner or later they're going to pick up results. They've got some very good players. They've got good options, and I think as a manager Steve King will tell you it's good to have options and it's then trying to find the right blend."
On team news, there are a few players to add to the squad since the game against Aveley on Tuesday.
He said: "Ansu (Janneh) came out of the side and was disappointed, they all want to play, you want competition. The last few weeks I haven't really been able to do that. Billy French was excellent on his debut, that's given us a headache I'd rather have and I have to make those decisions this week. The squad will be stronger tomorrow. Jernade Meade is back, we've got Mo (Dabre), Jamie Fielding, I won't rush him back but he'll have a fitness test and he if he thinks he can get through the game he could come into our thoughts too."
