Tonbridge Angels FC is delighted to confirm the signing of left sided centre back Ben Swift (25) who was previously skipper at Margate FC. 

Following spells at Maidstone Utd and Aston Villa Ben joined Margate in March 2017.  A fully committed player Ben was handed the captain’s armband at age 22 by their ex Manager, Jay Saunders.  

Ben said on signing for the Angels, “It’s great to be linking up again with Jay at Tonbridge, I have huge respect for him as a manager and I’ve achieved my aim to play at a higher level of football so it’s worked out really well.”    

Jay added: “I’m very pleased to have obtained Ben’s signature.  I believe he will become an integral part of the Angels back line and will build a great relationship with the Angels supporters.”
