Alfie paves a path to Longmead
Proven goalscorer arrives for rest of the season
Tonbridge Angels are delighted to welcome to the Yeomans Community Stadium, Alfie Pavey, a 30 year-old forward who joins on loan for the rest of the season from Bracknell Town.
Alfie will be a player well known to Angels supporters who would have seen him in opposition colours many times over the years when he represented Dartford, Maidstone United, Dover Athletic and Eastbourne Borough.
Alfie spent his formative years at Maidstone, where he scored 300-odd goals in youth football, before joining Millwall on a two year scholarship as a 19 year-old. He went on to make six EFL appearances for the Lions, spending several loans before joining Dartford in 2017, from whom he had spent one of those loan spells.
His time at Dartford was massively successful, scoring 22 times in 38 appearances, winning the National League South Player of the Year award and earning him a move into the National League with Havant and Waterlooville.
After further spells in the National League with Dover, Barnet and Braintree Town, he found his scoring boots again at Farnborough in the South, quickly earning him a move to Woking.
Last season was another successful one, this time at Eastbourne, scoring six times before starting this season at Bracknell Town.
Manager Alan Dunne, delighted with his acquisition, commented: “Alfie is good in both boxes, which is important. He is a proven goalscorer at this level, he will give us something different and I’m delighted to have him onboard.”
