Angels have a General Manager
Ross Bennett moves up from Commercial Manager in deserved promotion
Commercial Manager, Ross Bennett is to be promoted to General Manager, the first time for many years the club has had such a post and is indicative of the way Angels continues to professionalise itself. Ross will now oversee the day to day running of the club including events and hospitality, 3g hire, stadium security, and all other off pitch matters including the management of commercial aspects such as sponsorship and advertising. He will report directly into the Board and his appointment takes effect from 1st December.
Chairman, Dave Netherstreet said : "Ross in a short time has quickly shown an ability to manage the complexities of a non league football club and his experience will enable the club to flourish not only as a commercial business but also as a community hub. I and the rest of the Board are confident that in his role as General Manager he will be able to provide a sound basis for the club to develop its potential."
Ross added: '"It’s a real honour to be entrusted with the General Manager role here at Tonbridge Angels FC. Since joining the club in the summer I’ve been blown away by the ambition and dedication of the Board and my colleagues, and we are all committed to taking the club forward in a responsible and sustainable way. As a fan first and foremost, I’m thrilled to be entrusted with this position, and will continue to work hard to ensure that we fulfil the undoubted potential that the club has. I would like to thank the Board for their support and trust, and look forward to continuing my Angels journey.”
