Angels run out 3-0 winners at Hartsdown Park
Valuable game time for Jay Saunders men
Angels completed a 3-0 win against Pitching In Isthmian Premier Margate FC at a cold Hartsdown Park. Jordan Greenidge opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half with two more goals from Jamie Fielding and Louis Collins added in the second period.
Due to the bad weather over the last week both clubs found themselves without a fixture and with the festive programme fast approaching it was important for the two managers that their squads got some genuine game time under their belts and in the case of the Angels avoid the scenario of over two weeks without any football until the Boxing Day round of games.
Afterwards Angels Boss Jay Saunders said: “Today was a very worthwhile exercise and I’d like to thank Andy(Drury) and everyone at Margate for having us down. It gave us a chance to look at formations and also to give minutes to players who have been out a bit recently such as Tommie Fagg, Parky and Jamie Fielding. It was a good game with some decent goals and played at the right tempo. A shout out to Angels supporters George and his Dad who can be seen in the accompanying picture in the front row!”
As a reminder to supporters we are hosting Welling United on 26th December with a 3:00pm kick off.
