Angels Supporting Foodbanks
Collection Points are back at The Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium
Fans Supporting Foodbanks started in 2015 as initiative between Everton and Liverpool football clubs who came together to provide food to those most in need in the city. It is estimated it now provided a third of all the food supplied to foodbanks in Liverpool.
Their slogan, “hunger does not wear club colours” is one they are happy to share and have actively encouraged others clubs to set up their own projects. Tonbridge Angels have got involved and is proud to support SUSTAIN, a community foodbank run by Tonbridge Baptist Church.
Each week since Covid in March 2020, SUSTAIN has provided an average of 60 emergency food parcels with current need exceeding the supply of donated items.
With supporters finally back at Longmead, we are starting back up our collection points in the ground by the Angels Marquee and the Tea Shack and encourage home and away fans to bring along whatever they can to support those most in need.
