Angels to launch new Foundation

Tonbridge Angels announce new charitable arm

Tonbridge Angels Football Club is proud to announce the launch of the Tonbridge Angels Foundation, a newly established charitable organisation created to promote, support and deliver charitable and community-focused activity in and around the club.

Building on the work of Angels in the Community, the Foundation aims to harness the power of football to make a lasting impact in the local community — from supporting grassroots initiatives and promoting health and wellbeing, to tackling social isolation and creating opportunities for young people.

The new Chairman of the Foundation, John Garwood said: ”Our club has always been more than just football – it's a community hub, a place where people come together. The Tonbridge Angels Foundation will allow us to deepen our commitment to the town and the people who support us week in, week out. We're excited about the potential this has to make a real difference."

Sophie Purves, Chair of Tonbridge Angels said: “The creation of the Tonbridge Angels Foundation is an extremely beneficial step forward in our pursuit of using the positive power of football to help and support our local community. Our charity will work closely with the club to deliver exciting and rewarding projects that can make a genuine difference to people’s lives.”

The Foundation will work alongside local schools, charities and community groups to deliver a wide range of programmes and initiatives. These may include youth engagement projects, mental health awareness campaigns, education support and outreach to vulnerable groups.
