Angels to re-enter Kent Youth League

Next season sees new teams at four age groups
Tonbridge Angels Football Club is delighted to be launching four new boys football teams next season who will compete in the Kent Youth League.
The new age groups will be Under-13’s, U14’s, U15’s and U16’s and will provide talented, local footballers with a proper pathway to our Isthmian Under-18 side and our Tonbridge Angels Academy.
The teams will train twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and play their matches on Sundays through the season. The new youth section will be overseen by Dom Welsh, who will ensure high coaching standards are maintained and the club’s football philosophy is communicated to all players.
Commenting on the move, Tonbridge Angels Chair, Sophie Purves said; “We are very excited to be expanding our youth section at the club. It’s something the Board feel passionate about and we can’t wait to see local talented young players representing the club in the Kent Youth League next season. These teams will offer players a true and proper pathway to potentially our senior men’s first team and we look forward to helping young talent develop under our guidance.”
The club is looking to recruit team managers and assistant coaches for all age groups. The team manager will require a UEFA C qualification and the assistant coach a FA Level 1. Tonbridge Angels will be interviewing candidates in February and ask interested parties to apply using the link to the coach application form below.
We will then be hosting player trials in March and look forward to meeting prospective players then. If you are interested in being part of our trial process and trying out for Tonbridge Angels, please state your interest by completing the player application form.
If you have any questions regarding our new youth teams, please email Dom Welsh dom.welsh@tonbridgeangels.co.uk
