Tonbridge Angels are pleased to welcome the return to the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadum of Bailey Akehurst, who enjoyed a loan spell with the club in March 2023 whilst he was with Gillingham.

Bailey made 12 appearances for Gillingham including five in League One before he was released from Gillingham and joined Hastings United where he had previously had a successful loan spell. In November of 2023 he moved on to Dover Athletic, where he had a good season in National League South.

Bailey has recently been training with the Angels and Jay Saunders explained his signing: “With Liam Vincent having been out injured, I thought it was important that we brought in a natural left footer of real quality on that side. He knows the club from before, having had a brief loan spell with us. He will be someone that adds to the squad and allows us not to rush Liam back.”
