Christ stays with the Angels

Christ Tiehi - head shot

Talented midfielder is part of McKimm’s plans for 2020/21

Following Alex Akrofi’s return, there was more good news for Tonbridge Angels supporters today (24th July) with the news that Christ Tiehi (22) had agreed terms to stay at the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium.  He arrived at Tonbridge in October 2019 and was to go on and fill the gap created by D’Sean Theobalds’ departure to Polish top flight football.

Despite suffering a nasty looking injury in a FA Trophy replay at Hampton & Richmond Borough in mid December he was back playing in under a month and was to play a significant role in the Angels turn of the year improvement in form before the Coronavirus Pandemic brought the campaign to a sudden end in mid March.

Angels Boss, Steve McKimm said :  “I’m delighted that Christ has agreed to stay with the club.  He brought strength and skill to our central midfield area and will ask plenty of questions of our opponents in the upcoming campaign.”
