Christmas Messages from the Chairman and the Manager

Seasonal Greetings to The Angels Family

 From Dave Netherstreet

'In many respects its been once again a difficult year for football, largely due to the pandemic, and we as a club of course have not been immune to those difficulties. With no fans allowed to games last season and events not happening, finances were always going to be challenging.  But we have come through that and I would like to thank everyone associated with the club for their superb efforts in helping the Board and the club move ever forwards in the path to sustainability.  Those include staff, volunteers, players, management and of course the supporters who returned to the terraces in numbers once we were able to reopen the turnstiles.

Despite the fact it seems the pandemic is back with us again in some force, the last few weeks have seen some good news come through.  A resolute draw with play off contenders Dulwich Hamlet, the defeat of National League, Torquay United in the FA Trophy, and the submission of the planning application for an artificial pitch have all in their own way given us the confidence that we as a club are moving forwards in the right direction.  Thank you all for your efforts.

Finally, we should remember those who have sadly departed from our Angels family during the year RIP, and those who are continuing to suffer ill health and can't be with us at Longmead; we wish you a speedy recovery so that you can once again join us here at our special home.

A very Happy Christmas and New Year to all of you.'

Dave

And Manager Steve McKimm had this message:-

On behalf of myself, staff and players, I'd like to wish the Chairman, the Board, the Supporters, the Volunteers and everyone connected with Tonbridge Angels a very Happy Christmas and hope to see you on Boxing Day.'

Steve.
