Dave Netherstreet to become Club President
Dave steps down from Board but accepts new role
After ten years leading Tonbridge Angels Football Club, Director and former Chairman, Dave Netherstreet, is to step down from the Board to become honorary Club President alongside Steve Churcher.
Tonbridge Angels Chair, Sophie Purves said, “On behalf of everyone at the club, we thank Dave for everything he has done for Tonbridge Angels over the past ten years. He has been wonderful to work with and has dedicated so much of his time and efforts to ensure the prosperity of the club. It is a fitting tribute to Dave that he will now become Club President, alongside fellow former Chairman, Steve Churcher. We expect to see Dave regularly at the club as a weekday volunteer and, of course, on matchdays. We hope Dave enjoys his new role as Club President, which he thoroughly deserves.”
Club President, Steve Churcher said, “On a personal level, Dave is absolutely making the right decision at this time as he leaves the Board in excellent hands, I welcome him as a Club President and I look forward to sharing the Club’s presidential duties with a former chairman and somebody I consider as a good friend.”
Tonbridge Angels Manager, Jay Saunders said: “I would like to thank Dave for the support he has given me during his time as Chairman and Director. He will be a great Club President, I’m sure.”
Tonbridge Angels supporters will, undoubtedly, echo the comments above and thank Dave for all he has done for the club whilst wishing him an enjoyable future as Club President.
