December tranche of National Lottery grant confirmed

National League

But no clarity yet on 2020 funding via Sport England

The National League has announced that the independent review committee which was set up to examine the way National Lottery (Camelot) Funding was distributed has reported back with recommendations.

This followed criticism from certain clubs regarding the way the monies had been distributed.

The National League Board is seeking further clarifications from the Review Committee but hasn’t yet shared with clubs what the recommendations are.  It has however confirmed that the December tranche of payments is being paid as originally set out which of course includes £30,000 due to Tonbridge Angels that compensates for lack of Matchday revenue.

The National League also confirmed that it is pressing Government for the £11m amount of monies promised to The League via Sport England in the New Year to be in the form of grants rather than loans.
