Devonte sheds Wings to become Angel
Aransibia is latest to board Tonbridge train
Tonbridge Angels can today announce the signing of central midfielder Devonte Aransibia (24).
Aransibia turned professional at the highest level, signing a pro contract in 2017 with Norwich City having been a scholar since the age of 14.
After a successful loan spell with Billericay Town, Devonte forged a career in non-league football with spells at Potters Bar Town and Royston Town. The midfielder then progressed to Vanarama South football at the start of the season quickly becoming a popular member of the Chelmsford City squad, before a short spell with Welling United.
Aransibia boosts the club's midfield options following the loss of Jeremy Santos whose loan spell ends early following his recent injury. Devonte goes straight into the matchday squad for today's game at Ebbsfleet United.
Manager Jay Saunders said: "Losing (Jeremy) Santos was a big blow so we have been on the look out for a replacement. Devonte is a great addition for us and someone that had a great start to the season at Chelmsford. His time at Welling didn't quite work out but I’m confident he will be a great signing moving forward."
