D'Sean moves to the Departures Gate
Midfielder will be leaving the Angels
D'Sean Theobalds is to end his second spell with Tonbridge Angels as a new phase of his promising career beckons. Joining from Leatherhead at Christmas 2018, he played a significant role in the Angels push up the Isthmian Premier table which was eventually to lead to the Super Playoffs 2018/19 and promotion to National League South with D'Sean one of the scorers in that final with a memorable strike.
A dream move to top flight football in Poland last year was disrupted by the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic and D'Sean will have been grateful for a spell back at the Halcyon Weallth Longmead Stadium in 2020/21 to allow his career to continue to develop. All told he completed 70 appearances for the Angels and scored eight goals.
Angels Boss, Steve McKimm said today: "With his stay in Europe foreshortened by Covid-19, D'Sean will quite rightly feel he has unfinshed business at trying his hand at a highter level and I wish him all the very best of luck in that regard. I thank him for all his efforts while with us in particular the huge part he played in gaining us that promoition to non-league's 2nd tier."
