Ethan's here for the season
AFC Wimbledon agree to extend loan
AFC Wimbledon have agreed to extend Ethan Sutcliffe’s loan until the end of the season.
Ethan joined the club on an initial one month loan on 24th October, making his debut that evening at Farnborough as a late substitute.
Since making his first start at Truro City, in a teenage central defensive partnership with Joe Tyrie, he has been ever present and has impressed management and supporters alike.
The path between AFC Wimbledon and Tonbridge Angels is becoming a well trodden one with a succession of youngsters cutting their teeth at Longmead and going on to ply their trade successfully in the Football League with Jack Rudoni, now at Huddersfield Town and Paul Kalambayi, a first team squad member back at his parent club.
It is satisfying that AFC Wimbledon can put their trust in our club with these emerging players.
Jay Saunders commented: “Ethan has been excellent since he joined us and we are delighted he is staying until the end of the season. He is enjoying his time at Tonbridge Angels and I feel we are helping his development as a player. I’d like to thank AFC Wimbledon for agreeing to extend Ethan’s loan and being so helpful.”
