Fernham Homes sponsor Slade Girls team
Support ahead of girls' South Final
On Wednesday, 6th March, Tonbridge Angels in the Community were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling James Lark and his wife Jill to the ground to show their support for Slade Under-11 Girls Football Team.
We also welcomed Chris Loughead and Kari Rees from our sponsor Fernham Homes. We are most grateful to Fernham Homes for sponsoring the kit for Slade U11 Girls who will be wearing this with pride in the South Final of the National League Trust Under-11 Cup. Slade won the girls section of the regional tournament, held here at Longmead in January, and now go on to represent Tonbridge Angels in the next stage of the cup.
Slade PE Teacher Wendy Ball has been organising training sessions at Longmead with coaches Dom Welsh and Noah Millis to get the girls prepared for their big day.
The South Final will be held at Slough Town FC on 19th March and the winners from this round will go on to play at Wembley before a play off final! Good luck to the girls!
Thank you to the two players from our Women’s team: Faith Gilson and Ashleigh Rhodes for showing their support for the girls along with Director Geoff Curtis.
