Friday Briefing
Jay Saunders previews tomorrow's trip to Binfield
Jay Saunders says we will be treating the Binfield game as if it was a league match tomorrow.
On the back of two league wins we head to Berkshire facing another team in form:
“They’re a good side, they’re very good defensively, something like one goal conceded in six or seven games, they’ve had success in recent years and they’re a club on the up. We’re in for a tough afternoon.”
“I’ve been fortunate to have a few good cup runs but that doesn’t mean a lot. Sometimes your worry when you play lower opposition is the players think they’re better than they are. We’ll be respecting them. In the FA cup it’s all about getting through, performances aren’t always great, it’s about finding ways to win.”
Team-news wise it’ll be one of those games where decisions will have to be made late:
“We can’t play Tushaun in the FA Cup, Jamie’s receiving treatment after his injury so we’ll have to see, and I’m hoping to get one in, otherwise it’ll be a similar squad.”
