Gianni flies in as an Angel
Pacy winger is the Angels third new signing of the summer
Our third new signing of this week is that of Gianni Crichlow, a 25 year-old winger who ended last season at Dulwich Hamlet, where he was on loan from Havant and Waterlooville.
Gianni began his career at Queens Park Rangers, spending time on loan at Torquay United, before his release from the Championship side led to a move to Chelmsford City.
After spells at Hendon and Hanwell Town, he moved on to Braintree Town, where he had a season making 39 appearances (26 starts), scoring six goals from wide areas before joining Havant at the start of last season.
At Havant, Gianni made 20 appearances before a loan spell at Hemel Hempstead and, as stated, ending the season at Dulwich.
Gianni said on his signing: “Firstly, I’m honoured to be here. As a winger, I am quick and like to beat players one versus one, bringing both assists and goals. I’ve played against Tonbridge Angels and its always been a difficult game, so I knew Jay was a good manager and had a good set-up and this greatly helped with the process of signing.”
Assistant Manager Tommy Parkinson added: “Gianni was recommended to us by the Sittingbourne manager, Ryan Maxwell and he was a player that we’ve kept tabs on because we were interested last season but couldn’t get a deal over the line, but this summer we are lucky enough to have done so.”
