The Pitch Covers have arrived!

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed through our Just Giving page and to others who gave via other channels for raising the money to purchase these amazing state of the art pitch covers.  

You will recall how our home programme of fixtures became decimated because of the heavy rains of last winter which overran the sub surface drainage system.   At a specially convened Owners Meeting in early March it was agreed that as a short to medium term remedy the club would seek to purchase pitch covers and with your help we've been able to do it.  

The club's longer term aspiration would be to convert to an artificial surface but in the meantime the covers will protect the magnificent natural turf seen by millions worldwide on our televised Emirates FA Cup Tie versus Bradford City.  Well done to Head Groundsman Pete Elves and his team for preparing such a great surface.
