Jonny on course to break goalkeeping appearance record

Long-serving goalkeeper Jonathan Henly has agreed to remain at Tonbridge Angels for another season, the club are delighted to announce today.

The popular Number 1, who was named Runner-Up in the Supporters' Player of the Season vote for a third time on Saturday, has been with the club since March 2017 and recently made his 250th appearance in Angels colours. Today's news means Jonny is on course to break the record for goalkeeper appearances this autumn.

Jonny said today: "I'm really pleased to be staying at Tonbridge for another year. It will be my eighth season at The Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium and I am looking forward to helping the club improve on what has been a successful season."

Manager Jay Saunders said: "I'm delighted to have Jonny signed up; he's one of the best keepers in the league and also a great character to have in the squad."
