Here we go-oh, Ruben Soares-Junior signs
Never mind the weekend!
The media team have been kept busy in the past few days and the weekend proves no different as Tonbridge Angels are delighted to announce that they have retained the services of Ruben Soares-Junior for next season.
Ruben, 23 years old, joined the club in September, after a spell with Scottish League One club Queen of the South, making a goalscoring debut in the 4-3 win at Cheshunt. He scored twice more until injury cut short his run of appearances in mid-November through to the New Year. On his return, he was largely used from the bench before moving on dual registration to Margate until the end of the Isthmian League season. At Margate, he made 10 appearances, scoring twice before returning to his parent club for the final two fixtures in which he scored at Farnborough. In total, Ruben made 18 appearances last season scoring four times.
Ruben commented after his signing: "I’m happy to be back for another season and looking forward to scoring and assisting to help the team achieve its goals.”
Assistant Manager Tommy Parkinson added: “We are delighted that Ruben has chosen to stay next year, prior to his injury he was a regular in the team and we are confident a fully fit Ruben will be a problem for National South defences.”
