Striker, Alex Akrofi will not be wearing the Angels shirt in 2021/22.  A job opportunity which involves shift work means he would be unable to commit to the demands and schedules of National South football and he will therefore reluctantly be departing Longmead.     

Said Angels Boss, Steve McKimm : "Job security in these uncertain times is very important and sometimes difficult choices have to be made.  Alex completely understands the situation and I would have expected no different from a person who from a playing point of view has always given me total commitment.  Perhaps he will be able to find a club which will better fit in with his new job.  I certainly wish him the very best of luck in everything he does going forward."

First joining the Angels in 2017, he was to return in 2020 following a successful spell at Aveley. Combining the two seperate spells at Longmead, Alex made a total of 91 appearances scoring 36 goals.
