Jack’s with us for rest of campaign
Talented midfielder is part of Jay’s squad for the run in
Tonbridge Angels is delighted to announce that Jack Wood will be staying at Longmead until the end of the season following an agreement with Southend United for a short term loan.
Before joining Southend on a two and half year contract he had been at Southern League Premier Central side Kings Langley where he was spotted by the Roots Hall scouting system.
The midfielder has impressed during his 13 appearances, with three goals and two assists for the Angels, and whilst Angels Boss, Jay Saunders , has used him at times sparingly because of the squad formation, he does value his contribution to the side.
Said Saunders : “I’m very pleased we have Jack’s services until the end of the season. I believe he has a big part to play in our efforts to try and reach the play offs. I haven’t always been able to use him but he has never moaned, never complained and taken his chances when they’ve come along. A model player. Thanks to Kevin Maher at Southend United for agreeing to this loan.”
