Jay reels in Fish!

Crawley striker joins on season-long loan
Tonbridge Angels are delighted to welcome to the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium, Sonny Fish, who joins the Angels on a season-long loan from Crawley Town.
Sonny is a 19 year-old striker who was capped by Wales at Under-18 level after being called into the squad for games against England and Austria last June.
Sonny is a product of the Leyton Orient Academy, signing his first professional contract at Brisbane Road in early 2022. He spent the latter part of the season on loan at Bowers and Pitsea, where he scored three times in 14 Isthmian League Premier appearances.
Following a pre-season at Crawley, Sonny signed a two year deal with the west Sussex club and at the beginning of this season had a short loan spell at our National League South compatriots Worthing.
Jay Saunders said of his new signing: “Sonny, I’m sure, will be a great addition to the squad. With his work rate and goals, I’m convinced he will endear himself to our fans. We thank Scott Lindsey and Crawley Town for helping to make this loan happen.”
Sonny commented after his first training session with the squad: “I’m delighted to be here, I missed a lot of football through injury last season, but I’ve had a fantastic pre-season at Crawley under some terrific staff. I got some game time at Worthing at National South level and now want to kick on with Tonbridge and give them what’s been missing so far this season for the remainder of the season.”
