Jay's Friday Briefing

"We're at home and we're in a confident mood at home"
Manager Jay Saunders is keen to put last Saturday's defeat at Taunton in the past quickly against a Bath City side who have made a strong start to the season.
Jay said: "We've seen three or four of their games. I know they've lost the last couple but there doesn't seem to be a lot in it, and away from home their record is probably better than at home, they've only lost one game. They've had a good start, there aren't any games that are easy but we're at home and we're in a confident mood at home.
"Cody Cooke is a good player at this level, a proper number nine, and is the sort of player most clubs in this level would love to have. He's a handful. Their squad is very experienced, a lot more experienced than us, and having watched them they look a good organised side and we ill need to be at our best.
"We have to move on and brush last Saturday's game under the carpet. There were scenarios that affected our performance, we had loads of possession, but was there a purpose to it? Did we ask enough questions of them? And as Scott Wagstaff said, we let in four sloppy goals."
Team-news wise, the squad is getting more healthy for numbers, as we approach a spell of two games a week.
He explained: "It's pretty much as we were, we haven't lost anyone. Jamie Fielding, Ben Swift, Tom Parkinson are all in contention, the squad has got stronger.
"Tommie Fagg has a tear to his groin so he could be a few weeks yet. James Taylor has his scan this week. Jonny Henly's back from illness and he trained Thursday so it's getting stronger but with so many games coming up it's important we have competition in key areas. "
