Jay “We’ll worry about us”

Tonbridge have the motivation of knowing we could be in the play-off positions if we beat Taunton and results go our way.

Manager Jay Saunders said: "On Tuesday we spoke before the game and said we could be a point off the play-offs if we win.  We seem to get close every time and fall away.  But we'll worry about us.  It's been our aim all season but let's just worry about what we're doing.  If we keep winning, hopefully we're amongst it.

"It's nice to be home at last.  It'll be a different game to the one in October.  It was a different pitch, it was a long afternoon, we didn't have Jonny in goal.  Taunton are having a decent season and have a lot of games to catch up on but they're well organised, hard to break down, and we have to continue the good form we're in."

Jack Wood could be involved after extending his loan spell from Southend until the end of the season.    "He had offers from clubs in this league.  I had a chat with him and said my feelings haven't changed, I'd like to keep him.  Jack said he wanted to be playing.  Southend don't have a reserve team so if he's not playing for us, he's not playing at all.  He came on Saturday and scored, went into Southend on Monday and they felt it was right for him to be in with a good group, and told him it was his decision.

"Jack said he's enjoying it.  It's difficult for him that we changed shape and were winning games, and he understood that.  He's someone I really like and I'm delighted he's decided to stay."

On team-news Jay said: "Craig Braham-Barrett will have a test on his knee before the game but otherwise the squad will be the same."
