Jay's Friday Briefing

Jay speaks with Matt Davison prior to tomorrow's National League South fixture at Weymouth
Jay Saunders returns to the site of his Angels managerial debut this weekend for the trip to Weymouth.
A lot has happened to both sides since then, including a return fixture which didn't go quite so well, but Jay is clearly hoping for a repeat of August's last visit:
"Very much so, that was a good trip last year, first game of the season. This season we've started differently. After a good point last weekend it's important we back it up with a win but we know it won't be easy. It's a long trip, Bobby's team's are hard to play against as we found in the game at our place.
"Last week has given us some much needed confidence. Let's hope we can back that up with a win. In recent weeks people have questioned if the players care, and I think it showed last week the players do care. The new signings came in and the new front four all had positive impacts last week. It was silly goals we conceded which stopped us getting three points. There were lots of positives, one of them was the character.
"You could see in training there was a bit of a buzz about us, we know all of a sudden we can score goals, it does give us a different mindset."
Regarding the team news, there are no serious fitness worries. Jordan Greenidge misses out after his red card last weekend. Jordan Higgs and Jamie Fielding are available after suspension.
