Jay's Friday Briefing
Jay looks ahead with Matt Davison to the visit of the league leaders
The league leaders come to town on Saturday as Yeovil bring their ten point lead to defend, but Jay Saunders knows an Angels win isn’t out of the question.
He said: “We saw down there, although we had spells of possession, they’re a good side with clinical players. They’re not top of the table at this stage of the season without being a good side, but as a club we look forward to it.
“I think we’ve proved we can give anyone in this league a good game. It’s not going to be easy. You need everyone on their game, to be disciplined. I don’t think many will fancy us but within the group we always feel confident.”
Ethan Sutcliffe will return to the side after arriving back from AFC Wimbledon, a welcome addition according to Jay:
“We never wanted him to go back and he loved being here. Although he was on the bench for Wimbledon he didn’t get any minutes. It’s a no brainier and, regardless of whether Tariq Hinds was suspended or not, I would have pushed it through.”
On the other loan players, Jay added: “Liam, I’ve liked having here. We’ll chat with him and Portsmouth after the game. He and Nathan have been great additions.
“Everyone came through training. We lose Tariq and Swifty’s out but everyone else is available which is good.”
