Recent Match Reports
Bexley Blues 1 Tonbridge Angels Blues 6 Over 60’s - Bexley Sports Club
Bexley are a strong team and are well represented in this age group with their Red Team the current national champions. The Angels put in a very strong performance coming away with a 6-1 win moving them up to third in the table. It was the season’s best performance so far, total control from start to finish. Good passing, clinical shooting, all done with a stand in keeper, Martin Brindley (pictured), who also saved a penalty. A great squad performance. Our goals came from Nigel Bragg (2), Kelvin Champion (2), Steve Elliott and Craig Knowles.
Maidstone 1 Tonbridge Angels Green 0 Over 60’s – Maidstone YMCA
On a cold Saturday morning in Maidstone, our Over-60's Greens put in their best performance of the season so far. It’s been a very tough start to their first season and taken a while to get some rhythm but the consistency in formation and passing is beginning to pay off. This was the best defensive performance of the season and a very unlucky penalty was given when Andy Matthews overbalanced on the edge of the area giving seasoned campaigners in local walking football, Maidstone, the opportunity to win the game. The first win is not far away!
Tonbridge Angels Ladies 5 Whitstable Ladies 3 - Longmead Stadium
Yet another excellent performance saw our ladies get a 5-3 win to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. Sandra Donohoe netted another four goals to bring her season’s tally to 11. The Ladies have a great team ethic, and this is paying dividends in their first league season.
