Mampolo signs on the dotted line
Forward joins the Angels
Tonbridge Angels can this morning confirm the signing of Francis Mampolo. Francis featured, as a second half substitute in Tuesday evening’s Kent Senior Cup game and has subsequently signed the necessary paperwork to become a National League South player.
Francis is a product of the Elite Coaching Academy, who managed to obtain trials for him at Newcastle United and Swansea City, where he made Under-23 appearances.
He subsequently has had time at Sutton Common Rovers and Westfield before spending last season at Biggleswade Town of the Southern League Division One Central.
Jay Saunders said of his new signing: “Francis is someone who is eager to impress and has shown in training and in the short time he has played that he can offer something different to the squad in attacking areas. We look forward to working with him.”
Francis also commented: “Tonbridge Angels are a massive football club with incredible fans. I just want to get out there and repay the management and fans for believing in me when I put on the blue shirt.”
The club can also confirm the departure of Nathan Wood. We would like to thank Nathan for his contribution at the club and wish him every success for this future career.
