Marcus is Craig's first signing

Lewes Player of the Year reunites with the boss
Tonbridge Angels are pleased to announce the signing of Marcus Sablier, who reunites with manager Craig Nelson after a standout season together at Lewes.
Marcus is a 22-year-old central midfielder who came through the academy at Bromley, signing his first senior contract there in 2021. During his development, he gained valuable National League South experience on loan at Welling United, Hampton & Richmond Borough and Cheshunt.
He initially joined Lewes on loan in 2023, and following his release from Bromley, Craig secured him permanently for the 2024/25 season. Marcus went on to make 47 appearances, score six goals, and was named Supporters' Player of the Year for his performances.
Craig Nelson was delighted to welcome a familiar face to the squad he is building at the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium, commenting: “Marcus is a gifted young man with a bright future. He’s flamboyant, exciting, and gets fans off their seats but he also works hard for the team. He’s got the right attitude and application, and I’m confident he’ll be a real asset to us this season.”
Marcus added: “I’m buzzing to be stepping up a league and joining Tonbridge Angels. I’ve worked with the gaffer before and I know the standards he sets, it’s a great environment to be part of. The club’s got real ambition, from what I've seen the fans are passionate, and I’m looking forward to getting started, showing what I can do, and helping the team push on this season.”
Welcome to Tonbridge Angels, Marcus!
