MP’s and Councillor’s visit to The Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium
They inspect the new works
Tom Tugendhat, Tonbridge and Malling MP visited Longmead to have a look at the progress of the works to install the 3G pitch, he also took the time to visit the new Upz and Downz building to have a guided tour from Bernard Chick the driving force behind the project.
He met not only myself and Geoff but also Jay and several other members of TAFC. He was impressed with the scale of the project and wants to return to see the completed project.
Tom has been a great supporter of the club and we may even be able to entice him to a game.
Vivian Branson the councillor for Trench Ward has also visited the club and was equally impressed with the works and has expressed her full support not only for the 3G pitch but also the community work
The works are on programme and last week the kerbing around the pitch was installed and this week the new drainage routes will be laid and the pitch side fencing.
Please can I remind everyone that the main entrance adjacent to the turnstiles is for access to the site only and must not be used for access to the ground, please use the clubhouse if you are visiting the club.
