Oh Jeremy Santos!

Popular midfielder returns and this time he's ours!

Tonbridge Angels are delighted to welcome the return, on a permanent transfer, of Jeremy Santos from Charlton Athletic.

Jeremy enjoyed, and Angels supporters did likewise, a fantastic extended loan spell in season 2022/23 in which he made 16 appearances, scoring three times including a stunning strike at Cheshunt.

The 21 year-old midfielder returned to the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium in September 2023 for a second loan spell that was sadly quickly ended with an almost season-ending injury at Dartford. Santos worked hard on his rehabilitation to return to Charlton’s Under-21’s and feature in their London Senior Cup Final win in April in which they defeated Hendon at Champion Hill.

Jeremy, who has dual nationality with Ecuador, had been at The Valley since he was nine years old and progressed through the youth ranks before earning his first professional contract in July 2021.

Jay Saunders welcomed back Jeremy: “Absolutely delighted to bring Santos back to the club, but this time as our own player. He is someone that needs no introduction to our supporters, I think everyone appreciates what a top player he is and hopefully now we can work with him; get the best out of him and get him back to where he was after his first spell with us and if we do that we know we’ve got one hell of a player on our hands and the fact that he was so desperate to come and play for the club again is the sort of characters we want around the place.”
