Paris locked in as an Angel
AFC Wimbledon forward arrives on loan
Tonbridge Angels are delighted to confirm the loan signing of Paris Lock, who joins for the remainder of the season from AFC Wimbledon.
Paris, a 19 year-old forward, has recently completed a loan spell at our National League South counterparts Dover Athletic where he made 11 appearances, scoring once whilst being used mainly as a winger from where he contributed several assists.
He made his AFC Wimbledon debut, as a substitute, in an EFL Trophy match against Stevenage Borough in October.
Jay Saunders said of his new signing: “We are delighted to welcome Paris to the club. He is someone we have kept an eye on since he was recalled from a successful loan spell at Dover earlier this season. He will add more quality, assists and goals in the final third which is something we are always looking to improve on.”
After his first training session with his new team mates, Paris commented: "Coming to Tonbridge I felt was a good next step to my development and my desire to AFC Wimbledon in the EFL. The type of player that I am, and the style of how Jay and his staff want to play, hopefully means I will fit in well. I’m not the finished article and I will make mistakes but what I will do is work hard and do all I can to help the club end the season as high as possible. There are a lot of players here I can learn from and after having my first training session today I’m sure I’ve made the right decision and can’t wait to play my first game."
Paris is available for selection for the New Year’s Day game against Maidstone United.
