Pegrum returns to Angels fold

Pegrum

Orient midfielder back for three months

Tonbridge Angels are delighted to welcome the return of Charlie Pegrum who arrives at the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium on a three month loan from Leyton Orient.

Charlie’s loan spell last season was cut short when he was recalled by his parent club following a five game spell from October of last year.

He has now made four first team appearances for the Orient and since his departure from the Angels has had further National League South experience with loan spells at Aveley and Welling United.

Jay Saunders welcomed Charlie’s return to Longmead: “I’m really pleased, Charlie was someone I didn’t want to lose last year. He was getting better and better in his loan spell, I remember him having a really good game down at Truro and he got called back shortly after that. He’s someone who brings loads of energy and can play a number of positions, wide; centrally; in a 10; and wing back, so I’m really pleased that we have been able to get him after his loan spell finished at Welling. He knows what we are about and will fit straight back in and the biggest thing for me was that he was really keen to come back here which made it a lot easier. Orient have been really good to let us have him for the next three months.”

We thank Leyton Orient for facilitating the loan of their player and wish Charlie every success in his time with the club.
