Waggy commits to new season

Tonbridge Angels are thrilled to announce that our club captain Scott Wagstaff has committed to next season.

Scott, he won’t mind us saying, at 33 is one of the older heads and very influential in the dressing room and around the club in general and his experience will be ever more valuable as we embark on the new season.

Waggy came to the club in October 2022 having recorded over 300 EFL appearances for Charlton Athletic and Gillingham and has registered 70 appearances for the Angels following his debut against Oxford City.

Scott commented on putting pen to paper: “I’m delighted to be playing for Tonbridge Angels again next season. It’s been a privilege to be captain this year and all the support I’ve had from the fans has been a big part of my decision to stay. I really enjoy working with the Gaffer and everyone behind the scenes wants only the best for Tonbridge Angels. I will always give 100% and I believe we can achieve something special at this club and I want to be part of that. My family have also grown to love the club and have been made to feel very welcome. It’s a special place. The team will be working hard to get some good results in our remaining games and I then look forward to kicking on next season.”
