A schoolchild’s dream - Taking penalties against Jonny Henly
Families with children who attend the Phoenix Centre at Cage Green school, a Specialist Resource Provision for pupils with Autism, joined the first team for a training session last Tuesday 17th September.
The children not only met all the 1st team squad but were also able to take penalties against Jonny Henly (pictured). They then visited the Boardroom where they were able to admire all those gleaming Angels trophies, and the Media Tower to try out the Public Address System and the Electronic Scoreboard.
Tonbridge Angels has made the parent group known as PACT (Phoenix Autism Centre Tonbridge) that supports the school with funding, its official local community charity.
Pupils and parents from the Phoenix Centre will be our guests for the 1st team match vs St Albans City on Saturday 16 Nov with the children leading the two teams out as mascots. PACT will be doing a bucket collection on the day to raise money for a sensory room at the school so please bring some extra change to help in this very worthwhile project.
