Tonbridge Angels can today confirm the departure of Johl Powell.

Johl has been unable to break into Jay Saunders’ starting XI and requested that he leaves to find regular football at another club.

Jay said of Johl’s departure: “Unfortunately it hasn’t quite worked for Johl, but not through a lack of effort. Sometimes that’s football. He is a great lad and someone that needs to be playing regularly. We wish him well.”

Johl made two substitute appearances and everybody at Tonbridge Angels hopes that he finds a new club in the very near future and enjoys his season ahead.
