Plenty of action at Longmead
The big events of the British summer might still to be to come. Wimbledon, Glastonbury, might we even suggest Angelfest. But football is preparing to darken our doors once more and Tonbridge Angels are now able to confirm a full set of pre-season friendlies, seven of which will be played at the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium.
Our first look at Craig Nelson’s newly assembled squad will be on the road, on Saturday, 5th July, at Hartsdown Park when we will visit Ben Greenhalgh’s Margate.
Three days later, Welling United will be the first visitors to Longmead followed by Beckenham Town and Bracknell Town, of the Southern Premier South.
On Saturday, 19th July we will be visiting old friends from the Isthmian League in the shape of Leatherhead at Fetcham Grove, before we welcome EFL opposition, Bromley, on Tuesday, 22nd July.
Jay Saunders will bring his Folkestone Invicta side to Tonbridge on Saturday, 26th July and Craig Nelson will welcome his previous employers, Lewes on the following Tuesday.
Pre-season will be wound up on the first Saturday of August when Biggleswade, of the Southern League Division One Central visit.
The opening day of National League South is set for 9th August 2025.
