Popular midfielder Ricky Modeste has left Longmead as part of Angels Boss, Jay Saunders', list of released players.

The Grenadian international joined the Angels in June 2021 with a glittering non-league career to his name including spells at Chelmsford City, Billericay Town and Dover Athletic where in total he amassed 200 appearances and scored over 30 goals. 

The 2021/22 campaign was to see Ricky make 20 appearances for Tonbridge scoring twice although its fair to say these figures would undoubtedly have increased if not for an injury sustained at Sough Town in early December.  He regained full fitness to allow a return to the 1st team squad at the beginning of April.   

Saunders said today: We wish Ricky the best of luck going forward and on behalf of everyone at the club would like to thank him for his efforts while at Tonbridge Angels." .  

Angels supporters may wish to be reassured that whilst it appears that the only movement of players is through the departures gate, there is going to be news very soon of signings for the 2022/23 campaign.
