Tonbridge Angels are delighted to announce the signing of Ronny Nelson, 20 years old, 6’5” central defender from Colchester United.

Ronny began his footballing life at Gillingham’s Academy before moving to Leicester City where he was a regular in the Foxes’ Under-21 Premier League Two squad. He made two Football League Trophy appearances before returning south to join Colchester United in the close season of 2023.

During last season he had loan spells at our National League South counterparts Torquay United and Dartford.

Jay Saunders, a happy man with his capture, commented: “Ronny is another exciting addition to the squad, he’s a young lad but with a good presence at 6’5”. I believe he will come in and be a really good addition to us on the left hand side. I’ve been really impressed every time I’ve watched him play and delighted to get him onboard and hopefully help us have a solid defence this year.”
